Good Things

There are certain things in life that make it happier, easier or generally better. On this page I am going to share the things that I have found that I think will make your life better in some way.

The best thing that we can do for our families is to help boost their immune systems. Our health is based on our diet, physical activity and social/emotional well-being. Balance of Nature is a daily supplement that I have been taking for years. It is truly incredible, it provides you with 11 servings of fruits and vegetables and the immune boost from it is so evident I absolutely wouldn’t stop taking it.
I have tried getting off Balance of Nature, just out of curiosity to see if it was helping me. In a few short days I felt the old tiredness, soreness creep back. When people around me are getting sick I double up on my Balance of Nature and I can feel the immune boost.
The best thing about Balance of Nature is that they offer you a health coach. My health coach called me, asked me questions not only about my diet, but also exercise, emotional and spiritual health.
Balance of Nature is the best change that I made for my diet in my adult life. I could not recommend it more highly.
I would not recommend it if it wasn’t great and if you buy it through my website I will get a small commission on your first sale.

The Squatty Potty, this is a very important part of wellness and this is an amazing product!

Good Businesses

Your Local Farm

I am lucky to live near some great farms – Halas Farm in Danbury, CT, Holbrook Farm in Bethel, CT, Jones Family Farm in Shelton, CT and Green Chimney’s in Brewster, NY are my favorite. I encourage everyone to seek out their local farms, not only is it the best thing for you and your family’s health, but it is the best thing for the environment. Local farms produce flavors out of their fruits and vegetables that you cannot find in a grocery store. Please give it a try, do it side by side with produce from a grocery chain and you will be shocked at the difference.

Holy Yoga of Connecticut

Yoga is my preferred path to physical and emotional wellness. I started practicing yoga after my 30th birthday, I had surgery on my brain aneurysm and I wanted to get back into shape in a way that would be gentle. I happened to see in the church bulletin a Holy Yoga workshop and it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. The women at Holy Yoga of Connecticut in New Fairfield, CT challenged me mentally, physically and emotionally. I was in a dark place when I started with them, so much so that I would cry almost every class when they talked about being worthy of His love and one day I stopped crying and the healing that took place improved every aspect of my life. One of the owners, Toni believed in me more than I believed in myself and if it wasn’t for her I don’t know that I would have followed my passion. I couldn’t be more grateful for these incredible people. If you are anywhere near this incredible business I urge you to give it a try (there are gentle options, but take Power with Beverly and you will soak right through your pretty yoga outfit!). Bonus: during the summer months they offer an outdoor Sunday class at a local nature preserve, breathtaking.
